Director and Principal
Tim Jones has over 20 years' experience in a variety of commercial property related disciplines in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His experience includes property finance, equity analysis, valuation and transaction management culminating in his appointment as Head of UK Lending for Morgan Stanley's European Real Estate Finance Group in 2008. He has extensive experience in the structuring and financing of large scale commercial property transactions and has been involved in over $6 billion of property deals over his career.
Tim returned to New Zealand in 2010 to establish Mainland Capital as a principal and executive director. Tim's transactional experience sees him well placed to lead Mainland's acquisition and financing activities. He is involved in all aspects of Mainland's funds management and advisory activities, with a focus on due diligence and risk analysis, financing strategies for both debt and equity, and transaction management.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation and Property Management from Lincoln University, is a registered representative of the Securities and Futures Authority (UK), and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and Property Council of New Zealand.
